The project has been realized for company Sky Service. This company is supplier of the services for world leader in play-tv SKY. It has been working in Italy for a few years and has reached 3 millions of subscribers and this number is growing up.
Program WOA has been designed for Sky Service. It is PC locally installed multiuser software.
Main Processes
Application controlled processes are:
- management of work orders
- invoicing
- stock management
- new customers management
- maintenance management
Work Orders Management
Work order comes from customer that asks for it to supplier.
Service supplier contacts the list of local installators, who physically, independently, but always in contact with supplier manage the work realization at final customer.
Orderer inserts final customers demands into his information system.
Supplier enters into system day by day using web portal. From there he downloads the actualized data of work orders.
- Import of the work order file
- Service supplier sends work order, eventually also bill of delivery, based on previous submission via email in form of Microsoft Excel file.
- Installer obtains documents via email and prints them.
- Installer is trying to manage a meeting with customer to do the works.
- Service supplier actualizes the state of works according to the information of installer. (closer: meeting, suspended for, etc.)
- In the evening installer fills the work orders on his PC and sends them to supplier via email; supplier imports them into his system
- Installer can send some documents for supplier also via fax; these can be attached to work order, eventually can be sent by email
Invoicing
Invoicing of service supplier is managed by ordering society, who gives regularly statement of supplier’s account.
Suppliers checks these statements according to data in his accounting (checks the amounts for invoicing announced by ordering society according the work orders that are present in the system).
System offers this functionality:
- Import of the file containing statements of account
- Automatic pairing work orders with statements items
- Differences warning
- Data editing
- Installators invoices generation
Warehouse management
Here is possible to manage the charge and discharge of goods.
New customers’ management
New customer inserting is always done by SKY Italia portal. It provides PDF file.
System imports such file.
According to the agreement it automatically discharges necessary material for the action.
Maintenance management
Maintenance process is used for damaged decoders’ management. Spoiled goods that have been taken from customers are in regular intervals given to ordering company.
